Beautifully crafted Papua New Guinea toea coins from 1987 display a butterfly and a 1t. On the reverse if a bird opening its wings with the words "Papua New Guinea" above it and "1987" below it. The rings and French ear wires holding the coins are 14K rose gold filled to coordinate with the tone of the coins. Since these are uncirculated coins, the natural patina has not developed. Over time, the patina will darken and can be removed by soaking the earrings in white vinegar and rinsing off with water and dried. These earrings make a wonderful 7th wedding anniversary gift with copper being the material for that anniversary year.
